With the beginning of the Winter Split almost here, we'll take a look at the activity during the transfer window and the teams that have qualified for the Winter Open.
Compared to APAC's reputation of a very happening transfer window, the first of two transfer windows this season turned out to be a really quiet one for the top 8.
The only main roster change is Hireo joining UHUH from the now-disbanded Cobweb City in place of JarelNaden, which in most eyes would be an upgrade giving the team a much-needed boost to challenge James Cheese.
Tough Love had initially decided to part ways with Aech, but they couldn't find a suitable replacement and ended up with the roster staying together which came runners-up in regional 3 of the Fall Split. Considering the situation the team is in with them trying to move on from Aech, and then having to play at least one more split together, it might take a toll on their mentality, which in turn may affect their RLCS performance.
Nimmt55 made a slight change in their starting lineup with Maru and Shaolon swapping their positions to become the player and coach respectively.
Gaimin Gladiators picked up Machi as their new sub after Kaizen left the team for a main roster spot.
James Cheese will be looking to keep their dominant form in the region and use the international experience they gained from the Fall Major. They also picked up wa. to fill their sub spot.
Paradigm and Brokoli opted for a quiet transfer window, with them trying to improve with their current roster and use the synergy they've built up over the Fall Split to their advantage.
Apart from the top 8, the only teams retaining their points would be Team GanDerS who elected not to make a roster change, and Vainshoes who brought in Mao from Reseda to replace Temma, who retired due to personal reasons.
The most notable new contenders for the top 8 spots would be Halal Men which consists of Blue and Abscrazy from BlueAbsTik/BlueAbsLem, Kaizen joining the main roster after spending the Fall Split being the sub of Gaimin Gladiators with Daijon as the coach, this is the team with the highest expectations of disrupting the top 8, Eluva consisting of Arch from Xayfhers, slct joining as a player after spending the Fall Split as a coach from Ultimate Chimaera, and mappi joining from MOTIMOTI GAMING, and lastly Team Certified made up of JarelNaden joining from UHUH, Ryzen joining from Dark Rift Esports, Claw-Z, and Tank from C.E.R.T.
The other teams rounding out the Top 16 are Rezi's Minions, Tunamayo Gaming, and Reseda Esports.
